Normally it does not take more than a few seconds to conduct a simulation containing thousands of process instances. As a result of the simulation you will get the KPIs (key performance indicators) of the business process in the given scenario as well as individual process instance and activity-based statistics. For example, you can create a heat-map to visualize bottlenecks in the process based on the determined waiting times.</p>\n<div class=\"columns\">\n <div class=\"column\">\n <span class=\"gatsby-resp-image-wrapper\" style=\"position: relative; display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; max-width: 1839px;\">\n <a class=\"gatsby-resp-image-link\" href=\"/static/2eff99855781258d9b72d999abe070c5/7de21/results-heatmap-waiting-time.png\" style=\"display: block\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n <span class=\"gatsby-resp-image-background-image\" style=\"padding-bottom: 26.953125%; position: relative; bottom: 0; left: 0; background-image: url(&apos;data:image/png;base64,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&apos;); background-size: cover; display: block;\"></span>\n <img class=\"gatsby-resp-image-image\" alt=\"Process Heatmap from Waiting Times\" title=\"Process Heatmap from Waiting Times\" src=\"/static/2eff99855781258d9b72d999abe070c5/7de21/results-heatmap-waiting-time.png\" srcset=\"/static/2eff99855781258d9b72d999abe070c5/01e7c/results-heatmap-waiting-time.png 512w,\n/static/2eff99855781258d9b72d999abe070c5/2bef9/results-heatmap-waiting-time.png 1024w,\n/static/2eff99855781258d9b72d999abe070c5/7de21/results-heatmap-waiting-time.png 1839w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1839px) 100vw, 1839px\" style=\"width:100%;height:100%;margin:0;vertical-align:middle;position:absolute;top:0;left:0;\" loading=\"lazy\">\n </a>\n </span>\n </div>\n</div>\n<p>Before you can conduct a simulation, you need a business process model in the BPMN 2.0 notation and a simulation scenario.
